Outdoor Classroom

Participating in field trips allows a pupil to work directly in the real world. They are an essential part of Geography at BMS and all years have the chance to travel.

In Year 7 we visit villages and rivers in the local area, Year 8 students visit the Peak District National Park and in Year 9 students have the chance to visit the Norfolk coastline.

In Year 10 and 11 students complete local fieldwork in Bedford, visit Grafham Water and are invited to attend a residential trip to the N. Yorkshire or S. Wales.

Year 12 begins with a conference in London followed by a day trip to Norfolk, later in the year. Finally for those who complete the Advanced Level course there is the chance to gain an overseas experience at the beginning of Year 13.
