Y 7 - 9 Geography

In Year 7, 8 and 9 Geography is taught for three 50 minute periods per two week cycle. The work builds on that carried out in KS2, revisiting certain core topics and introducing one or two new themes.

Year 7 Themes include: Local Geography, Tectonics, Rivers and Flooding.

In Years 8 and 9 the work continues to follow the National Curriculum for KS3 and builds on that completed in Year 7. It provides an opportunity for new areas of study to be looked at and reinforcement of core themes visited lower down the school.

Year 8 Themes include: France, Development and Ghana, Local actions, Global effects and Japan.

Year 9 Themes include: Coasts, the study of an LEDC – Brazil and Ecosystems.
